This brass puzzle was shown to me by its owner - Professor Bakalar from Prague. I borrowed it in Atlanta and returned it to Luxembourg six months later.
While it was in my possession, I was able to replicate it, of course after obtaining the necessary consent. This version of the Cast Puzzle might be even better than the original. It certainly remains one of the more entertaining puzzles. The key idea that pervades it is the "cage".
